Subito is an Italian musical term that means quickly or suddenly. A musician would interpret “subito fortissimo” as an abrupt change in volume. Play it very loudly all of a sudden. Investors have read the market score and suddenly, abruptly have worries about volatility and trade policy. That seems to be what has happened in the first quarter of 2018. If volatility continues to increase, it could damage this long-standing bull market. Subito.
